Today’s the day! Beams will circulate in the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) for first time in 2 years.

The morning meeting has just wrapped up at the CERN Control Centre. The team on night shift has the beams at the doors of the Large Hadron Collider and ready to inject from the Super Proton Synchrotron. A sense of anticipation in the control booth for the LHC as the team of 15 to 20 operators prepare for restart.

Shift leader has just declared “Let’s go,”
